The Think Big! 2014 awards were an amazing night for Noux, we won two awards, the Sir Thomas White Award for Manufacturing and Technology and the Marketest award.
It was great to hear from other budding entrepreneurs and start-ups. Including Rate My Placement a successful business now turning over £2million a year and initially funded by the Think Big! Competition, Chris from RMP gave some great business advice on planning, personality and taking the leap of faith.
There was also exhibited work from my fellow Studio mates: ASAP Watercrafts showing their a nifty motorised rescue craft, Version 22 the designers of Gekohub - a clever storage solution coming to Kickstarter later this year, The Student Wordsmith bringing survival advice in the form of poems to students, and Ian Tricker an award winning artist and sculptor. Events such as the Think Big! are a reminder of what a great job Loughborough University do encouraging and rewarding entrepreneurial spirit.
